Personalized psychiatric care and medication management in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Compassionate, judgment-free treatment for anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD and mood disorders — for ages 5 through adulthood.
You don't have to figure this out on your own.
Maybe you've been anxious, exhausted, unfocused, or just not quite yourself for a while. Maybe something you've been managing alone isn't getting better. Maybe you're a parent watching your child struggle and you're not sure who to call.
Jonesboro Wellness, mind + body is a small practice built around unhurried appointments and individualized care. We take time to understand what's actually going on, explain your options in plain language, and build a treatment plan you have a real say in — combining traditional psychiatric care with attention to nutrition, sleep and other non-medication supports.
Every visit starts with listening. Where you go from there depends on what you need.
A comprehensive first appointment covering your symptoms, history, health background and goals — a full 90 minutes, so nothing gets rushed.
Thoughtful prescribing with ongoing monitoring and adjustments, so your treatment keeps working as your life changes. Psychotherapy add-ons when warranted.
Assessment and ongoing care for children, teens and adults struggling with attention, focus and follow-through.
Treatment for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD and related concerns, matched to how they actually show up in your life.
Nutrition, sleep and other non-medication options discussed alongside traditional care — including when medication isn't the right fit for you.
Secure video appointments for illness, demanding work schedules, or the weeks when getting across town just isn't realistic.
We see patients from age 5 through adulthood, including older adults. If you're not sure whether we're the right fit, call and ask — we'd rather point you to the right place than have you wait.
In mental health care, who you sit across from matters. Here's who you'd be working with.
DNP, APRN — nationally board certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
In-person and telehealth visitsI'm a Jonesboro native. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 and spent the next four years in the intensive care unit at NEA Baptist. That's where my heart was first drawn to mental health — and where I decided to make it my career.
In 2013 I graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center as a Doctor of Nursing Practice, completing part of my training at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Philadelphia. From 2014 to 2016 I treated patients in both outpatient and hospital settings at St. Bernards Behavioral Health and Counseling, and in 2016 I joined Families, Inc., serving clinics in Osceola, Paragould, Trumann, Walnut Ridge and Jonesboro. I'm also trained as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.
I want you to be part of your treatment decisions and have a voice in the matter. That's the whole reason this practice exists.
I've worked with children, adolescents, adults and older adults, and I've seen how much difference it makes when someone finally feels heard.
MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC — board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner
Telehealth visitsMelanie brings more than a decade of experience providing compassionate, comprehensive mental health care. Since becoming board certified in 2015, she has worked across a wide range of clinical settings — inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient counseling clinics, and inpatient substance abuse treatment centers.
She specializes in medication management for anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, PTSD and addiction, with a patient-centered approach focused on helping people regain stability, resilience, and the ability to function as their best selves.
Care should be evidence-based, individualized, and delivered somewhere you feel heard and understood.
Melanie sees patients by secure video, which makes her a good fit if you're managing a demanding schedule, live outside Jonesboro, or simply prefer meeting from home.
Give us a call and we'll get you scheduled with the provider who fits your needs. Referrals get a response within 24 to 48 business hours.
Ninety minutes together. We'll go through your symptoms, history and what you're hoping will change.
We'll talk through your options — medication, non-medication approaches, or both — and decide together.
Twenty to thirty minute visits to check how things are working, adjust what isn't, and keep your plan current.
This practice specializes in psychiatric diagnosis and medication management. Appointments may include focused therapeutic techniques where they're useful, but they aren't a substitute for ongoing counseling.
If you'd benefit from regular, in-depth therapy, we'll connect you with a trusted therapist in the area and coordinate your care alongside them. Many patients do best with both — a prescriber and a counselor working together.
We schedule by phone so we can answer your questions and match you with the right provider. New patients welcome.
